Preparing Hi-tech Park Authorities
Training on managing Hub for hi-tech Park Authorities
Bangladesh is building a number of hi-tech parks to attract foreign direct investment in hardware and software manufacturing industry. The government plans to make Bangladesh a hardware-software manufacturing country.
Bangladesh Hi-tech Park Authority (BHTPA) is a government agency in Bangladesh dedicated to establish, manage and operate technology business parks throughout the country. Formed in 2010, BHTPA is now implementing the projects including the Kaliakoir Hi-tech Park in Gazipur District and Jessore Software Technology Park.Planned projects include Mohakhalili IT Village in Dhaka, Barendra Silicon City in Paba Upazila of Rajshahi District, and Sylhet Electronic City in Companiganj Upazila, Sylhet.
National data center
Training on Support to Skill development for Data Center Management.
The ICT Division of Bangladesh Computer Council is building a Tier IV National Data Center (4TDC) at Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City, Kaliakoir, Gazipur with the help of Chinese Government. This data center will be equipped with cloud computing and G-cloud (e-Governance through cloud computing) technology.
Bangladesh's first Tier 4 national data centre, comprising the most advanced technology in use around the world, will begin in the first week of October as part of the government's move to boost the country's data storage capacity.
Skill Development For Mobile Game And Application
Training for Games and Apps Thinking.
To enable Bangladesh to enter this multi-billion dollar marketplace and to develop the necessary skills to compete in this field, the IT and Communications Ministry of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has taken up the project; ‘Skill Development for Mobile Game & Application Program’.
The core goal of this initiative is to help the youth of Bangladesh connect to the international mobile applications market and to provide necessary training for independent mobile application development to freelancers in universities and at the grassroots level.
